John 'Jack' Bohlinger found his passion for the outdoors at a young age. Growing up kayaking, snowboarding, camping, hunting, and climbing helped him to gain the appreciation and respect for the environment that motivates him today.

After gradating from Cheyenne Central High School, John joined the Marine Corps where he became an Infantry Marine and deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan in 2011 with 1/5 Bravo Co. There, he learned the true meaning of leadership, selflessness, and sacrifice.

After being honorably discharged, John went on to pursue a degree in Outdoor Education and Environmental Science from Black Hills State University in the beautiful Black Hills of Spearfish, South Dakota.

His experience in Forestry began with Meade County FireWise, where he learned to perform fire mitigation, timber stand assessments, and more.

From Meade County, John went on to work with Altergott Forestry, where his experience grew in leaps and bounds. He gained his Wildland Firefighting certifications and worked on Forest Fires in South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado.

John is an experienced Forester and can help you with fire mitigation, disease trees, timber stand health assessments, removal of hazard trees, and more.

Healthy forests are key to a healthy environment. When trees are properly taken care of, they are more resistant to disease and fire. This is important to keeping your personal property and your community safe.

Lumber Jack Forest and Tree Care, LLC is focused on maintaining and restoring a strong ecology in a manner that is affordable for the property owner and beneficial to the community.

Education is a key component to this healthy balance. When you choose Lumber Jack Forest and Tree Care, you are not just making the best choice for tree removal; you are making the best choice for ensuring the longevity and health of all trees on your property.

The existence of humans within the resource creates a barrier for natural processes to occur. This creates the inherent need for humans to work as that mechanism within the forest.
